A good time at Fest Africa

This past weekend, our recruiters were at the 7th annual FestAfrica, a celebration of African culture and heritage in Baltimore, MD. Over a thousand people were there ... most were from Nigerian-heritage communities in Prince George's and Baltimore counties. We were hoping to make contact with Hausa Somali and Swahili, speakers, and we did!

It was a hot weekend, but we enjoyed meeting folks and being surrounded by musicians (both local and international) who displayed their African pride with Afro-beat, ethnic folk, African hip-hop, Afro-Reggae and traditional drumming. There was also storytelling, arts and crafts, jewelry and African cuisine.

Tip-of-the-hat to the FestAfrica organizers!
