This past weekend we traveled to Grand Prairie, Texas, near the Dallas-Fort Worth airport to recruit at the local Tet festival, the Vietnamese new year's celebration. On Friday night, we hosted an informational "meet-and-greet" session for our NLSC Members and anyone interested in learning more about us. Then on Saturday and Sunday, we were at the Traders Village, a huge open-air marketplace, where the Tet festival (among other events) was being held. We were pleased that cool windy, raining weather did not stop a large crowd from coming to the festival, and we made good contacts; several applied on the spot!
Next week we'll be at Stanford and UC Berkeley and in Miami. More details on those events shortly.
