The NLSC is working with federal agencies to support humanitarian assistance efforts for the Japan earthquake/tsunami disaster. We currently have an immediate request to do Japanese to English translation work. Please find a brief overview of the assignment below:

Requirements:

  • Membership in the National Language Service Corps (apply here)
  • Japanese > English translation of up to 30 pages of documentation on a daily basis.
  • Technical subject matter relative to the current situation in Japan.
  • Work may be performed remotely or on-site in Hawaii.

If you speak Japanese and are interested in finding out more about the assignment, we want to hear from you. Also, if you know of someone with Japanese language skills who might be interested, we welcome your referrals.
