LA & SF Info Sessions Went Very Well

Last Wednesday and Thursday, we held our first on-the-road information sessions in Los Angeles and San Francisco, and both were great!

Wednesday in LA, 32 of our Members joined us, along with 18 guests at Life On Wilshire. All three NLSC Members who participated in our Garuda Shield assignment were there and spoke about their experiences. Two of our Members who were part of our Thailand assignment described that trip as well.

On Thursday in San Francisco, 22 Members and three guests came to Circa to learn more about the NLSC.

At both events, Members wasted no time in reaching out and meeting each other. We got nothing but positive feedback, so look for us to be on the road in the future.

Bringing Members and Staff face-to-face

On January 27 and 28 we're hosting member/staff meet-ups in Los Angeles and San Francisco. Several of our Charter Members have expressed interest in meeting each other, and we always get incredibly helpful feedback from Members whenever we see them. So this is a way to do two things at once.

In L.A. on Wednesday, you'll find us at Life on Wilshire, 6311 Wilshire Blvd in West Hollywood (http://www.lifeonwilshire.com/). Come by, meet fellow NLSC Members and NLSC staffers! In San Francisco on Thursday, we'll be at Circa, 20091 Chestnut Street (http://www.circasf.com/) starting at 6:00 pm.

If you're not a Member, don't let that stop you. Join us and learn more about offering your "Language for the Good of All"!

We picked these two cities because we have large numbers of Members in each of those metropolitan areas, so we are hoping for a good turnout.

These are our first meet-ups oustide of our Washington DC home-base area. If these go well, we'll have others. And if those are successful, we will explore doing them regularly in key locations across the country.
